Who We Are

Sunflowers Key is a mission-driven nonprofit focused on Violence Against Women (VAW). We take a systems-first approach, prioritizing infrastructure, education, and coordination over surface-level solutions. Our objective is straightforward: ensure that women in crisis can move from danger to safety without unnecessary barriers.

Why We Exist

Across rural and underserved communities, critical resources are often scattered, outdated, or inaccessible at the moment they are needed most. Shelters operate in silos. Bed availability is difficult to verify. Education and training vary widely by region. The result is inefficiency at best — and missed opportunities for safety at worst.
